Candidate interviews are scheduled for today and a reception for district staff and the general public is scheduled for 3:30 to 4:30 this afternoon in the Osawatomie High School Library. Yesterday, they met Greg Clark. He is currently the Superintendent in USD 112, Central Plaines, in his 8th year. Today, patrons will meet Joe Sample. He is currently the Superintendent at USD 459 Marais Des Cygne Valley, in his fourth year. The reception is your chance to meet Mr. Sample.
The candidates were selected based on their characteristics and potential fit with the district and community. The desired characteristics were developed with input from an online community survey used during the search process, according to the District. The board hopes to have a new superintendent in place by July first.
