According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Friday, May 27th, 2022 the family of a 54 year old man, say they discovered his vehicle, after an apparent crash, and he did not survive.
Family members told Deputies that around 9:00 Friday night, they were concerned they hadn’t heard from him since that morning, when he went to work in a field in the 1100 Block of East 500 Road. The area is near Clinton Lake. When they went to check on him they discovered his vehicle had crashed into a creek. Douglas County Deputies found the man deceased, inside the vehicle, which had driven from a field, drive through a barb-ware fence and crashed into a creek.
According to the spokesperson for the Sheriff’s office, George Dipenbrock, Deputies and Detectives were investigating the cause of the crash to determine how and when it happened. The Sheriff’s office had not released the man’s name.
