Yesterday, Monday, June 6, 2022, marked a date that literally changed the world. June 6th, 1944, 78 years ago, the largest invasion ever assembled in the History of the World. D-Day, also known as Operation Neptune. Over 160,000 allied troops stormed Normandy, France, by sea and by air, to liberate Western Europe, from Nazi Germany. The results would change the history of the world buy be very costly.

Supreme Allied Commander, General Dwight D. Eisenhower, called the operation a crusade in which “we will accept nothing less than full victory”…

More than 5,000 ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day Invasion, and by day’s end, the allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high; more than 9,000 allied soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 soldiers to crack Adolph Hitler’s hold on the Region and bring peace to the world.

Thank you to all those brave men, then and in future wars and conflicts, that gave their lives to keep the vision of America alive and well for future generations.
