Prairie Paws Animal Shelter in Ottawa is in a dilemma. Right ow, there are 10 times the number of pets in the shelter as there are employees. Director, Vanessa Cowie says the number of animals that came in May was larger than normal and she says that while fostering and donating are wonderful, there is only one thing that will ease their pain and it adoptions:
The shelter has had over 41 animals come in, in the last eight days and only about half have been adopted. They are open 9:00 to 6:00 almost everyday, 11:00 to 4:00 Sunday. Head on out and adopt a pet today, or make a donation to help support the animals and the shelter.
