A request to build a duplex at 809 South Willow Street, in Ottawa, ran into a buzz-saw of opposition during a public hearing at the Ottawa Planning Commission Meeting. One neighbor, Louise Rein, made clear where she stood:

Several neighbors complained that the duplex does not fit in with the character of the neighborhood and would cause too much traffic. In the end, the Planning Commission voted to recommend a denial of the project, to the City Commission.
