The Osawatomie Police Department, in conjunction with the Miami County Sheriff’s office and Homeland Security, served four narcotics arrest warrants simultaneously. It was all part of an operation called “Wizard of Oz” that was started last ear, as a response to dangerous narcotics trafficking in the community.
Six people were taken into custody.. They are… 36 year old Robert Aicher, 42 year old Jeremy Fortmeyer and 64 year old Walter Spears on charges of unlawful cultivation or distribution of a controlled substance and distribution without a drug tax stamp.
Also, 36 year old Krysta Nelson on three counts of aggravated endangering a child; 39 year old Tina Watt and 62 year old Debra Darner Redburn arrested during a search warrant, on one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Osawatomie Police Chief, David Stuteville says narcotics trafficking and distribution is dangerous and severely detrimental to the community and will not be tolerated.
