The Ottawa Fire Department is seeing a lot of use of its drone. Fire Chief, Tim Matthias, says it has a lot of purposes:
Matthias says he hopes to get a new drone that will be capable of operating in rain and other inclement weather.
If you crossed the Main Street bridge yesterday and saw the Fire Department boats in the water, no worries. There wasn’t a water emergency. The Ottawa Fire Department and the Overland Park Fire Department are training together the next few days, on the Marais Des Cygne River, working on water rescue techniques.
