When you have 800 people in town for an event, that usually leads to big profits for retailers. According to Ottawa Chamber of Commerce President, John Coen, that’s exactly what happened when Bike Across Kansas made a stop in Ottawa a couple weeks ago:
Other businesses in the Downtown area also reported brisk sales and the four food trucks at Legacy Square were busy during the Travis Marvin Concert that evening. Coen says he hopes Ottawa hospitality and organizations will lure the event back to Ottawa sooner than later.
