Plenty of opportunities to see fireworks displays in Miami County this weekend. The annual display at Lake Miola in Paola will be Sunday night, July 3. Donations will be accepted at the gate, which opens at 4:30 in the afternoon.
The Louisburg Freedom Fest will be Monday, July 4th at Lewis Young Park. Live music, inflatables, food trucks, the “American as Apple Pie” contest and fireworks at dusk.
Even though Osawatomie’s fireworks display was last weekend, lighting your own fireworks in the city limits is permitted through July 4th from 8:00 in the morning, until 11:00 at night. You are asked to not stage fireworks on a public street, and please respect you neighbors by cleaning up any trash or debris left behind by your celebration.
