The City of Garnett Fire Department was awarded a Grant through the MFA Oil Foundation recently. The Grant will assist with the purchase of rubber hoses and nozzles, tool holders and hydrant fittings. Fire Chief, Wes Skillman, says the Department is proud and humbled to accept the donation and support from MFA Oil and the money will be used to greatly improve the Department’s overall capability in protecting the citizens of Garnett and Anderson County.
MFA Oil is the eighth largest propane retailer in the United States and the Foundation allows the company to give support back to rural communities, that are the foundation of their business, by supporting programs and organizations active in addressing and solving problems and improving the quality of life for all citizens.
