An accident in Osage County yesterday afternoon, sent a Waverly man to the hospital. Shortly before 5:00 yesterday afternoon, Osage County Sheriff’s Deputies, Osage County Fire District Number 5, Lyndon and Osage County EMS were dispatched to an injury accident on the Dragoon River Bridge on US-75 Highway, approximately five miles north of Lyndon. A 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, being driven by 50 year old Ronald Carolan, Jr of Waverly, had been southbound when the motorcycle suffered a tire failure, causing the driver to lose control.
Carolan was transported by Osage County EMS to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, in serious condition. No word on his condition or what caused the tire failure.
