Two major events in Garnett Today. First… the first ever night race in Kansas City Karting Association history, on the Sprint Track at Lake Garnett, on the 1/3 mile Sprint Track. Gates open at 9:00 in the morning for practice rounds, but…the real racing begins with practice sessions and qualification rounds at 6:00. A pre-final of 15 laps and 22 lap final and then the Awards Ceremony. There is no admission to see the karts whip around the track at up to 100 miles per hour.
Then, the Anderson County Fair kicks off tonight with a big event. Anderson County Development Director, Julie Turnipseed:
This is a fully Sanctioned Missouri State Tractor and Truck Pull. Gates open at 4:00 and the sledding action will start at 7:00. There are four classes of tractors and four classes of trucks that will be competing tonight.
