The crime rate in Ottawa seems to keep getting better; in fact, Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner, told the City Commission that one category dominates local crime:
Weingartner says much of the shoplifting activity comes from Walmart running an active loss prevention program. Half of the increase in theft is directly related to shoplifting.
