The recent announcement of a Panasonic Battery Factory in Kansas should have good repercussions for Ottawa and Franklin County. Franklin County Development Council Executive Director, Paul Bean, says the development may stimulate housing.
Bean has expressed hopes that some people who work at the new plant will want to live in Ottawa, benefitting the local economy.
