In the battle over climate change, an accusing finger is sometimes pointed at farmers and ranchers as ‘big greenhouse gas polluters’. The guest speaker at the Franklin County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting has a dispute with that. Debbie Lyons- Blythe is a cattle rancher in the Flint Hills. She says the topic is a difficult one:
There has been a push among some environmentalists to crack down on farm emission; but, Lyons-Blythe says agriculture is actually at the very bottom when it comes to ranking the biggest polluters.
