Thanks to a quick response by the Ottawa Fire Department, a fire that potentially could have lead to some bigger problems, was put out quickly. Yesterday afternoon, Thursday, August 18th, a call came in of a vehicle fire at the East Wilson Recycling Plant on East Wilson. Ottawa Fire Chief Tim Mathias with details:
The fire was contained with the help of a utility truck that was on scene very quickly and, using water from one of the engines that responded to the scene, was able to extinguish it before spreading too far. No injuries were reported and a damage estimate was not available.
