If you’re going to the Chiefs game tonight, you might want to leave quite a bit earlier than you think you need to. Area police want fans to realize game traffic and rush hour traffic will be happening at the same time on some of the same highways near the stadium and, with a lot of people going to preseason games that are not regular season ticket holders, many are not accustomed to the traffic and parking patterns.
Here’s another tip. Have your parking pass pulled up early and ready to scan before arriving at the parking lot. It helps traffic move more efficiently. Parking lots open at 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Stadium gates open at 5:00 and kickoff is scheduled for 7:00.
