Your property tax statements can, at times ,be confusing….and sometimes the tax bill can be unpleasant. Franklin County Appraiser, Jamie Wilson, says locally the county is not the source of higher taxes.
Wilson says while the valuation of property has gone up, the County Mill Levy declines, because the county doesn’t need the extra money and doesn’t want to waste taxpayer money.
