People call the ambulance for all types of emergencies; but, is there a way to reduce certain types of calls? That’s the question Franklin County Officials are taking on. During a Franklin County Commission Study Session, County Administrator Derek Brown and EMS Chief Christi Hilliker discussed studying what kind of emergencies ambulance crews respond to:
EMS Chief Hilliker also told the County Commission that rather than trading in an ambulance when it gets to be a certain age, she’s going to look at each vehicle on an individual basis and keep those that are still in good condition, even if they do have high mileage.
