Inurnment Bellevue Cemetery, Larimore, North Dakota.

Mary was born Wednesday, May 12, 1920, in Bemidji, Minnesota, the daughter of Telesphore and Marie Elizabeth (L’Allier) Martin.

She lived in Ottawa, Kansas for the last five years moving there from Park Rapids, Minnesota. Mary also resided in Petersburg, North Dakota for many years.

Mary was united in marriage to Patrick H. McMahon. He preceded her in death.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived life to the fullest and spent years working the farm, milking cows, and cooking huge meals from scratch for a lot of men who worked the farm. No one could out cook or out bake her; her donuts were legendary! Mary would stop anything to help another person in need. She loved her children and grandchildren beyond words. She had a passion for fishing and painting, but bingo was hands down her thing, serious business. In memory of Mary, aka “Daisy May”, whenever you get a change to play bingo, think of Mary, yell bingo, and win big (name calling is optional).

Along with her husband Patrick, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; eleven siblings; grandson Jody Warne; granddaughter Delynn McMahon; and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include daughters Mary P. Griffin of Waxahachie, Texas, Colleen C. Miles of Missoula Montana, and Julia D. “Judy” Warne of Ottawa, Kansas, son Patrick W. McMahon of Niagara, North Dakota; eight grandchildren Stan, Kimberly Bravo, Patrick Allen, James Miles (Carol), Tricia Lamb (Duke), Mary Cronk (John), Barbara Denault (Robert), and Kari Orander; many great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

God blessed us when they sent her into our lives. She will be forever missed until we meet again in heaven.
