Kenneth L. Morgan, 80, of Scranton, KS died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at his home. He was born July 7, 1943 in Topeka, KS the son of Jack Linder Morgan and Josephine (Smith) Morgan. He graduated from the Scranton High School with the Class of 1961.
He was united in marriage to Rella Segelquist on February 14, 1965 in Scranton, KS. They shared over fifty-nine years of marriage.
After forty-one years, working at Good Year Tire in Topeka, KS as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, he retired in 2003. He also enjoyed helping his neighbors weed eat and spending time with his family. He could identify and talk endlessly about World War II aircraft but he never left the ground. He also loved a good joke.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Josephine Morgan and a sister, Delores Morgan.
Surviving family includes his wife, Rella of the home; two daughters, Kristine Overman of Hoyt, KS and Kristal Morgan of Scranton, KS; three sisters, Karen (Dan) Morgan-McConnell and Kay (Joe) Hrobak both of New Mexico and Kathy (David) Widner of Berryton, KS; a brother, Larry (Lori) Morgan of Stockton, KS; and two granddaughters, Morgan and Marlow Overman.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the Cross Road Community Church, 512 Mason Street, Scranton, KS 66537. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Scranton Cemetery.
