Airport Funday was held at the Ottawa Municipal Airport on Saturday, August 24th. Despite a late start due to the early morning rains, hundreds of people turned out to see dozens of airplanes flying in and out of the airport as well as get some great information about many different programs. One of those programs is the Civil Air Patrol Cadets, who would like to start a squadron at the Ottawa Airport. Fifteen-year-old Ottawan Aulora Deprethero, says it’s not all about flying, the Civil Air Patrol will help her in a career that interests her and says the program can help kids in many ways:
She adds that in order to get a squadron started in Ottawa, they need 5 interested people. If you are interested in getting your kids or grand kids involved in the Civil Air Patrol, give us a call at KOFO and we will put you in touch with the right people.
