Cow tipping, we’ve all heard of it. You sneak up on a cow that is asleep and…tip it over. Have you done it? Always wanted to do it? Or did you just see it on the cars movie? Either way, can this really happen, or is it an urban legend? According to the Kansas Farm Bureau…if you mess with the bull, you’ll get the horns. A representative of the Kansas Livestock Association says that if a cow were to be tipped over, not only would you need superhuman strength, but, you would probably get trampled by the others in the herd. They says that if a cow moderately widens it’s stance, it would take 900 pounds of force per square inch to tip over a cow, so, you’re going to need about 13 of your friends to help you. Oh, and by the way, cows can doze lightly standing up, but, they lie down like the rest of us to truly sleep. And, since I know you’re thinking this…the only animals to sleep standing up…horses, bison, zebras, elephants, and some birds.
So, the next time one of your friends says, hey, let’s go cow tipping! Just say…nah! No need to tick a cow off
