Scranton – Eldon Gerald Bryson, 88, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Aldersgate in Topeka, Kansas. He was born on January 18, 1936, in Scranton, Kansas, the son of Lloyd and Florence (Neil) Bryson.

Eldon had grown up and lived all of his life around the Scranton community.

He was a Farmer and Stockman all of his life and he operated Bryson’s Machine Shop for many years as well. He had served in the Kansas National Guard and was a member of the American Agriculture Movement.

On May 25, 1958, Eldon was united in marriage to Janette Duwall in Osage City. To this union, two children were born, Greg and Diana.

Eldon was preceded in death by his wife, Janette, on November 7, 2010; by his parents, Lloyd and Florence; and by his four brothers, Lloyd, Jr. “Tex”, Donald, Gene and Arlon.

Eldon is survived by his two children, Greg (Barb) Bryson of Scranton and Diana Quaney of Burlingame; by his two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and by a niece and nephews.

Funeral services for Eldon will be held at 10:30am on Friday, September 27 at the Feltner Funeral Chapel in Lyndon. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, southeast of Scranton. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Burlingame FFA, sent in care of Feltner Funeral Home, 818 Topeka Avenue, Lyndon, KS 66451.
