Robert D. Osburn, 72, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at his home.
Bob was born January 2, 1952, in Ottawa, Kansas, the son of James L. Osburn and Mary A. (Salb) Osburn.
He graduated from Ottawa High School, Ottawa, KS., with the class of 1970, and The University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS., in January 1975, with a B.S. in Journalism.
Bob worked for Ottawa and several Lawrence music stations through his career and was a popular DJ in the KC area. In addition to his great love and knowledge of music, Bob could tell you details about every movie he’d ever seen and was a fanatic collector of things he loved.
Bob leaves a son, a nephew, great neices, cousins, and many long time friends. He will be miss greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William I. (Bill) Osburn, his wife Rosalie, and James F. (Jim) Osburn.
An informal graveside service is Friday evening, September 27, at 5 pm, at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Ottawa.
