Vicki Darlene Pulis, 68, of Ottawa, Kansas, passed away, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at The University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kansas.
Cremation is planned with a private family graveside to be held at a later date.
Inurnment Highland Cemetery.
Vicki was born Saturday, July 14, 1956, in Ottawa, Kansas, the daughter of Larry and Joy (Griffin) Hollingsworth.
She was a lifelong Ottawa resident graduating from Ottawa High School with the class of 1974.
Vicki was united in marriage on July 2, 1990, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Stephen “Steve” Pulis. He survives of the home.
She was a devoted homemaker and also worked as a supervisor at King Radio from the late 1970s to the early 1990s.
Vicki was a long time member of the Ottawa Bible Church. She volunteered with AWANA, the Bethlehem project as well as supported a variety of Christian ministries. Her family was the most important thing to her here on earth. She treasured family get-togethers and getting teased by her son’s and giving it back to them. She enjoyed bird watching especially; hummingbirds. Spring and summer were her favorite seasons when she tended flowers, plants, flower beds, and mowing the yard with “her” zero turn lawn mower.
She was preceded in death by her parents Larry and Joy.
Along with her husband Steve, survivors include sons Justin Lee Ferris (Valerie and daughter Cailee) of Gardner, Kansas and Ryan Lee Pulis (Ann) of Douglass, Kansas; step-son Gene Ferris of Richmond, Kansas; sister Kathy Benjamin of Ottawa, Kansas; brother Jerry Hollingsworth of Overbrook, Kansas; grandchild Mary Jo Pulis; and step-grandchildren Cheyenne, Samantha, and Katelyn Ferris.
