Carbondale – Eva Margaret Molloy, 91, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at her home near Carbondale, Kansas. She was born on April 10, 1933, in Osgood, Missouri, the daughter of Evart and Dora Jane (Humphreys) Ralls.
Eva grew up in Missouri and moved to Kansas in 1954. She had lived near Carbondale since 1971.
Eva had worked as a school cook for Santa Fe Trail High School and she had also been a bus driver. Her most important job had been as a Homemaker and Mother to her six children. She had been a member of Faith Assembly of God Church in Topeka.
On February 19, 1951, Eva was united in marriage to Jefferson Davis Molloy in Chillicothe, Missouri. To this union six children were born, James, Mary, Virginia, Connie, Eva and Amy.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Jay on February 15, 2019; by her son, James Molloy on February 16, 2015; by her grandson, Cory Molloy on September 5, 2021; by her parents, Evart and Dora; and by her four siblings, Mary Jane Baugher, Bill Ralls, Phillip Ralls and John Ralls.
Eva is survived by her five daughters, Mary (Randall) Colston of Nesbitt, Mississippi, Virginia (Jim) Cook of Carbondale, Connie (Randy) Roberts of Carbondale, Eva (Larry) Birch of Maple Hill and Amy (Tony) Flohrschutz of Lawrence; her twenty three grandchildren; sixty-nine great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren; her constant companion Tedee.
Funeral services for Eva will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 23, at the Carbondale Church of Christian Fellowship. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Carbondale Cemetery.
