This is National Work Zone Awareness Week. A work zone is a very dangerous place to be, especially if you are one of the workers in that zone. Last year in Kansas, there were over 1,100 crashes in work zones, nearly 400 injuries and 13 people killed. Of the people who died, 11 were motorists. Here’s a message from the Kansas Department of Transportation:
The next time you are driving in or near a work zone, think about what you can do to make sure you and the workers on the road get home safely.
