All Kansans are asked to be “weather aware” today as strong storms are expected to move across the state and arrive in the KOFO listening area late this evening. The National Weather Service says all ingredients are coming together for a high impact severe weather event across the area. Sara Teefee fro the National Weather Service says all forms of severe weather can be expected, but be aware for tornado watches and warnings:
The KOFO listening area is in an elevated risk for storms with winds in excess of 75 miles per hour. Large hail in excess of 2 inches are also a threat. The Weather Service says the greatest risk for damaging storms will be after 8:00 tonight.
