OTTAWA — For one man, a brisk early morning run turned into an icy swim and a trip to Ransom Memorial Hospital early Tuesday. While sheriff’s officers investigating a break-in at T-Bones Trucking north of Ottawa shortly before 2:30 a.m., they learned about a man covered with blood trying to flag down motorists, Sheriff’s Lt. Jimmie Dean said. When they tried to talk to him, he started running into the Hunt-Martin Quarry but fell into a quarry lake. Rescuers fished him out and took him to the hospital. Sheriff Craig Davis said the case remains under investigation.
