OTTAWA — The roads in the county’s 36-Mile Project could get a new layer of asphalt if Franklin County receives money from President Obama’s economic stimulus package. Because Obama wants to get projects started as quickly as possible, most of the commissioners believe the overlay project would have the best chance of winning federal money. Since they were done a few years ago, traffic on roads in the 36-Mile Project has sharply increased, Jim Haag, public works director, said.
