GARNETT — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said it now considers a 36-year-old Anderson County murder a cold case. A year ago, the KBI reactivated the case and exhumed the murder victim’s body and had a reconstruction done of his face. Investigators received a few leads after photos of the man’s face were publicized but
none of the leads worked out, KBI Special Agent Bill Delaney said. The unknown man’s body was discovered in Anderson County in April 1973. Delany said although it’s a cold case, it will be kept open indefinitely.
