OTTAWA — Emergency officials made two water rescues involving people trapped in vehicles since last night. Levi Totton, 16, Ottawa, drove into water in the 3400 block of Eisenhower Terrace near Ottawa and became stuck shortly before 10 p.m. Monday, Sheriff Craig Davis said. LOH Fire Chief Jim Stonequist said rescuers helped walk Totton out of the car and through the water. Davis said Nancy Couch, Lane, was trapped in her car for more than an hour after she drove into water in the 800 block of Virginia Road north of Lane shortly before 4 a.m. today. Volunteer firefighters used a boat to rescue her, Stonequist said. She was cold and shaken, he said. She was examined by a Franklin County EMS crew and released, he said.
