OTTAWA — First it was a local church, and now ECKAN wants to use the old Hawthorne school. Eckan wants to lease the building for 1 year for 1000 dollars a month and would use it for early childhood programs and other services. ECKAN is competing against Grace Community Fellowship, which also wants to lease the school for church services.
