OTTAWA — You can help celebrate National County Government Week which is this week. Franklin county is marking the week with a series Of environmentally-themed events. The recycling center on South Elm Street will have tours for the public beginning Tuesday afternoon. Tours will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Thursday. Recyclable items can be dropped off at the Kansas State Bank, 236 N. Main, St.; on Tuesday; at the Ottawa Herald parking lot, 104 S. Cedar St., on Wednesday; and at the Country Mart parking lot on Thursday.
