GARNETT — After getting more than 10 inches of rain in the past six weeks, Anderson county road department crews are doing their best to repair the county roads damaged by fast-moving flood waters. Anderson County engineer Donna Schmit estimated the damage to the roads at $150,000. Schmit told the Anderson County Review that the state will have to declare a disaster for the county to receive federal and state money to repair the roads. A list of damaged roads has been sent to the state in hopes of getting reimbursement.
