GARNETT — The whole camp is a stage and the kids are but players upon it. Several Anderson County youths took part in a new week-long theater camp at the Thelma Moore Playhouse, Garnett. Twenty-two students learned about acting, story-telling, makeup and some of the tricks of the acting trade, said Susie Bubna, of the Chamber Players. Younger students worked with popular children’s plays and performed improvisation skits for the public. High school students performed the one-act spoof “Sleepy Cindy White” written by Crest graduate and current Kansas University student Sarah Edgerton. The camp was such a success that the Chamber Players are planning another one for next year, Bubna said.
