RANTOUL — A 35-year-old man was injured after he was hit by a car early Wednesday morning because he was laying on Vermont Road near Rantoul. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said 19-year-old Jenna Rowe was driving north in the 2100 block of Vermont Road shortly before 2 a.m. Wedneday when she struck Jason Wylie while he was lying on the road. Officers said they don’t know why Wylie was lying on the road. He was taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital. His condition wasn’t immediately known but officers said his injuries didn’t appear to be serious. Rowe wasn’t hurt and her car wasn’t damaged.
