WELLSVILLE — Franklin County will clean up a site west of Wellsville owned by Danny Lambeth, county adminstrator Lisa Johnson said. The county has won a court appeal and will begin cleaning up the site in July, she said. Johnson said when she inspected the site two years ago, there were 29 truck trailers on the site. The county has solicited bids for the cleanup and one contractor offered to pay the county and will likely get the contract, she said. The Kansas Department of Transportation has been cleaning up Lambeth’s Truck Wholesale yard along I-35 northeast of Wellsville.
