Who’s that knocking on the door? Well it’s summer and it’s here in full force. In just the second day of summer the KOFO listening area has been placed in a Heat Advisory. The advisory will officially go into effect at one Monday and run until seven Tuesday night for most of the KOFO listening area except for Miami and Lynn County’s which is under a Heat Advisory until ten Wednesday night. Hot and humid conditions will be in place early this week with the heat index topping out around one hundred five today and tomorrow. People are advised to avoid prolonged work in the sun or in poorly ventilated areas. You will also need to keep plenty of water on hand and try to stay in an air-conditioned environment.
