OTTAWA – Franklin County hosted a reception for appraiser Steve Brown Wednesday afternoon. Brown is retiring after 24 years as the county’s appraiser. Brown’s last day is Tuesday. Osawatomie mayor Philip Dudley will become the new county appraiser next week.
