OSAGE CITY — If you’re the rugged type who likes to rough it, Pomona and Melvern lakes have something for you this holiday weekend. Federal and state parks at both lakes report that primitive and tent sites are still available. However, if you’re the soft, cushy RV-type you’re mostly out of luck for the holiday season. Most of the utility camp sites are taken. However, Pomona State Park and Eisenhower State Park at Melvern Lake report a few utility sites are left but you should call before you head to the lake.
