OTTAWA — Ottawa school superintendent Dean Katt said he hopes a series of job reductions will help the Ottawa school weather state cuts in school aid. The reductions helped the school district save a significant amount of money but much of that was wiped out by more state funding cutbacks, Katt told a joint government luncheon Wedneday. He said he expects the state to cut more aid at the end of the year.
