OTTAWA — Because of changes in the federal disaster rules, last week’s downburst may not be disastrous enough to get federal aid. County administrator Lisa Johnson told the joint government luncheon Wednesday that she’s not optimistic that the county will see any federal funds. She says that damage to utility poles and lines don’t count in federal calculation. Commissioner Don Stottlemire said another change means that individuals won’t receive federal relief reimbursements for portable generators or motel bills.
