WASHINGTON — Former U.S. Rep. Nancy Boyda has received a top Pentagon post. Boyda is the new deputy assistant secretary of defense for manpower and personnel issues. She will deal with issues involving Reserve and National Guard members including recruitment, family issues and health care. Boyda served as Second District Congressman for two years before she was defeated by Republican Lynn Jenkins.
