TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Transportation awarded bids for two area projects. A bridge southeast of Harris on County Route 1389 will be repaired. A Shawnee Mission company received the $41,000 contract for the repairs. Killough Construction, Ottawa, received a $79,000 contract from KDOT to resurface a quarter-mile of Eighth Street in Osawatomie. The project will be along Eighth Street from the north city limits to Main Street.
