OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s department said a horse was killed in the 3200 block of Vermont Road just south of K-68 early Monday morning. A car driven by Tony Bass struck the horse which was on the road. The accident closed both lanes of Vermont Road as officers tried to round up a second horse on the road.
