WILLIAMSBURG — The Community Blood Center will have a blood drive in Williamsburg on Tuesday. The Blood Vessel will be parked outside the Williamsburg Community Center from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. Medical director Dr. Jay Menitove said the Community Blood Center supplies blood to 75 area hospitals. He said the need for blood is critical this summer. He said the Community Blood Center must collect 580 pints of blood each day to maintain the three-day inventory that hospitals depend on.
