OTTAWA — Ottawa school enrollment will be close to the budget estimates for next year. Superintendent Dean Katt said at this point, he thinks the preliminary enrollment will show a gain of eight. Katt estimated a gain of 10 for this school year and he thinks final enrollment could reach that by the time he makes the official state enrollment report on Sept. 20. Ottawa elementary schools have gained 32 students compared to last year, he said. However, because this year’s senior class is much smaller than last year’s, Ottawa High School shows a loss of 23 students, he said.
