PAOLA — The cities of Paola and Louisburg will host public meetings concerning the final draft of a state study of K-68 between Ottawa and the Missouri line. The meetings will be Sept. 3 in Paola and September 15 in Louisburg. There will also be a public meeting Sept. 10 in Ottawa. A preview for public officials will be Thursday in Ottawa. The corridor study looked at potential growth and business development and changes in traffic along the highway in Miami County and eastern Franklin County. The Kansas Department of Transportation wants to write a management plan to control future growth and traffic pattern along K-68 east of Ottawa.
